14 Marie Curie PhD fellowships available

14 Early Stage Researcher (PhD students) positions are available in the frame of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie ITN project INCITE.

We are looking for highly motivated young researchers to join an interdisciplinary and cross-sectorial space bringing together experts on control and power systems, from academia and industry with the aim of providing innovative control solutions for the future electrical networks.

The network supports the recruitment of 14 Early ESRs during 36 months. Each ESR will be working on an Individual Research Project (IRP) in the host institution and will have secondments related to her/his research in other academic and industrial partners of the network.

INCITE aims to propose innovative solutions for the challenging work of controlling and designing the future electrical networks. For this purpose, INCITE seeks to create a multidisciplinary research space with a complete view of the smart grids control where talented young researchers can be trained through research.  INCITE seeks to cover the most representative issues like optimisation tools to balance generation and demand, to increase efficiency and to reduce the total energy cost, control of electronics interfaces for the implementation of smart grids, control of ESS to add flexibility to the power management, control for integration of RES and distributed generation, monitoring and state estimation solutions among others.

The positions are expected to start between June and October 2016 and the applications open in January 2016.
